Practicing What I Preach

After meeting Steve—also known as “Ray”—from Rogue Solar at the Dorey Park Farmers Market last summer (see photo), I felt a strong sense of urgency to move forward, particularly as federal tax incentives were set to expire on January 1, 2026. Ultimately, the solar panels were installed by Southern Exposure. Through this process, we discovered that our home is, in fact, an energy hog. Following an energy audit with Andrew Grigsby of Viridiant and a subsequent assessment of our mechanical systems with the Comfort Squad team, we are now beginning targeted upgrades to our ductwork and wall assemblies to ensure we are doing everything possible to improve energy efficiency.
